Boogie Nights, the ultimate 70s and 80s Dance Club at Resorts Casino Hotel, to become the grooviest venue for Vegas-style weddings and wedding vow renewals

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – January 22, 2010 – Resorts Casino Hotel announced that it is offering Boogie Nights – winner of the 2010 Atlantic City Nightlife Awards for Best Dance Club, Best DJ, and Best Drink Specials - as a venue for Vegas Style weddings and wedding vow renewal ceremonies starting Valentine’s Day weekend.

“Las Vegas has Elvis, now Atlantic City has ‘Michael’ and ‘Madonna,’” said Kathleen McSweeney, Senior Vice President of Marketing for Resorts Casino Hotel. “Thousands of people fly from the East Coast to Las Vegas for non-traditional weddings every year. Now, they can drive to Atlantic City and get married or renew their vows at Boogie Nights – a place that has defined non-traditional since the day it opened.”

Boogie Nights will accommodate wedding parties and wedding vow renewal celebrations of all sizes. For $200, guests will receive a ceremony presided by one of two ordained Boogie Nights characters: Mr. Boogie or Dee Dee Rivera; champagne toast for four, and complimentary access to Boogie Nights that evening. The Boogie Nights crew can assist couple in writing their vows with a 70s and 80s flair. Ceremonies will be held on the lit up dance floor. Additional items including 70s and 80s look-a-likes such as “Madonna” and “Michael Jackson” as Bridesmaids and Groomsmen, flower girls like “Roller Girl” will be available a la carte. Guests can also choose to order photographers, videographers, wedding
cakes, hors d’oeuvres, and more.

Weddings and wedding vow renewals will be available seven days a week at Boogie Nights. Weddings on Fridays and Saturdays will be held prior to the nightclub’s opening at 9pm. Ceremonies held Sunday through Thursday must have a minimum of 100 guests.

The first official wedding to be held at Boogie Nights will be on Friday, February 12. The “Morning Edge” on 102.7FM is currently holding an on-air contest through which one of their listeners can win a complimentary wedding at Boogie Nights for themselves and 20 guests. In addition to the ceremony and private reception area, the couple will receive the following: Limousine transportation courtesy of Avalon Limo; wedding bands by Linwood Custom Jewelers; bouquet for the bride and boutonniere for the groom from Fischer Flowers of Linwood, NJ; hairstyling for bride and groom by Transcend Medi-Spa of Northfield, NJ; Wedding Gown from Bella Bridal in Northfield; Tuxedo from Formal Dimension and photography from Impact Multi Image. The winning couple will be selected on Friday, January 29, 2010.

Boogie Nights celebrates the music, style and pop culture of the 70s and 80s. The retro theme is reflected in every aspect of the club, making guests feel as if they have been transported back in time from the moment they enter. Boogie Nights DJs play only the best dance mixes from the 70s and 80s. All Boogie Nights staff is dressed in retro styles, from afros to polyester to platform shoes. The Boogie Nights Dancers consist of sexy go-go dancers, pop and lockers, and hula hoopers. Boogie Nights “characters” include Mr. Boogie the emcee, Roller Girl the pig-tailed roller skating beauty, the Michael Jackson impersonator who performs perfectly lip synched and choreographed numbers by the 80’s era “King of Pop,” and Lucy Diamond, the eight foot tall stilt walking disco diva in white. Boogie Nights features retro-style furniture surrounding its signature feature, a lit up dance floor that pulsates and changes colors with the music. The spectacular light show consists of a variety of colors and movements reflected
off the giant mirror disco ball.

In addition to weddings and wedding vow renewals, Boogie Nights welcomes class reunion, corporate events and private parties of all kinds, with packages for every budget. Many of the Boogie Nights characters will be available for private events on an a la carte basis. Party planners can choose from a variety of décor and audio/visual options, including customized video loops on the club’s video walls and television screens, a designated videographer and/or photographer, confetti cannons, bubble machines, and more. Planners will have a variety of food and beverage options to choose from so they can create an unforgettable event. Boogie Nights will be available seven days a week.
